“Oriba” and “Vicunha” - two well-known Brazilian brands, introduced products made from hemp fibers to the South American market a few weeks ago. At the presentation, representatives of “Oriba” and “Vicunha” emphasized that the new clothing line is an invitation for society to reconsider its perception of certain topics that are still taboo, such as hemp.

“We believe that our role is to clarify the issue of hemp and dispel myths, such as the confusion between hemp and marijuana. It is necessary to share the benefits of this fiber for the fashion industry and the planet. Everyone needs to understand that hemp is a very cool raw material that can be effectively used not only in the 'fashion industry',” claims Paulinho Moreira, co-founder of “Oriba”.

Another owner of “Oriba”, Rodrigo Otani, emphasizes that “Oriba Hemp” is entering the market specifically to promote a broader and more informed vision of hemp, stimulating constructive and educational conversation about its potential as a sustainable resource and the plant’s contribution to a greener and more balanced future.
