CTAEX - Spanish innovation center for industrial hemp growing
Governments of economically developed countries contribute to the development of cannabis growing centers with the involvement of state and non-governmental structures for work in them, which jointly create new products, materials, technologies that are actively used in the field of modern cannabis breeding. At the moment, in our country, several research and production, innovation centers of this kind are crystallizing, which, unfortunately, do not receive due attention and support from the state.
On the pages of the specialized electronic edition of Ukrainian cannabis growers, more than once the attention of our readers and listeners has been focused on joint projects aimed at increasing competitiveness in individual areas of modern cannabis growing or creating new technologies, which are subsequently implemented in several countries or on different continents. In particular, only in the field of hemp straw processing / trusts attention was focused on the “ Joint Italian-Austrian project to restore textile production from hemp ”, as well as on the “ Joint European project to restore various industries from hemp fiber - Multihemp ”, for the production of biocomposite materials on "Joint Franco-Walloon hemp project ”or“ Canadian hemp breakthrough ”. It is in connection with the fact that such initiatives in various economically developed countries of the world give rise to new competitive products and technologies, it makes sense to take a closer look at them so that in our country such projects, which are currently at the initial stage of their to make development not only economically profitable, but also such that they can compete on equal terms with the giants of the modern hemp market.
In Spain, it is planned to build an innovation center for the use of technical hemp, located in the Autonomous Community of Extremadura. In particular, representatives of the National Center for Agricultural and Food Technologies in Extremadura (Centro Tecnológico Agroalimentario Extremadura, CTAEX) and the company “Bhalutek Hemp” declare that this kind of initiative is aimed at the development and comprehensive use of the hemp plant, as well as providing access to technologies for growing and processing ... Within the framework of the project, it is planned to develop various kinds of hemp projects, gain new knowledge and develop modern technologies, initiate various types of research, while simultaneously ensuring an increase in the level of special knowledge of scientists and training of technical specialists, as well as agricultural producers. The main goal of the project is to transform the region into a national reference center for research and innovation in the field of modern cannabis production.
Members hope to develop new public and private ambitions, share knowledge among members and advance research, while providing training for scientists, technicians and farmers, with the goal of turning the region into a national reference center for research and innovation in modern cannabis production.
Since the "launch" of this kind of initiative, 21 structures have already entered the project, including the Universidad de Málaga and the University of Extremadura (Universidad de Extremadura).
According to CTAEX, “Industrial planting of technical hemp can provide an opportunity to revitalize the rural areas of the Autonomous Region of Extremadura and all of Spain through a sustainable approach to growing the most economically and agronomically most profitable crop, thanks to its characteristics and its many uses.”
Commentary of experts of the Association "Ukrainian technical hemp"
CTAEX is a private non-profit research and development center supported by the Spanish Agri-Food Sector Association. The structure has experience in project development, research and development work at the national level.
Bhalutek has specialized in hemp genetics since 2012. Conducts scientific research of agronomic and technological processes in the field of modern cannabis growing and the creation of specialized equipment for the needs of the industry. He is engaged in consulting clients from Switzerland, Australia and Uruguay.
It should be noted that the governments of economically developed countries contribute to the development of cannabis farming centers with the involvement of state and non-governmental structures for work in them, which jointly create new products, materials, technologies that are actively used in the field of modern cannabis farming. At the moment, in our country, several research and production, innovation centers of this kind are crystallizing, which, unfortunately, do not receive due attention and support from the state. One of this kind of information and training projects, within the framework of which several dozen innovative projects have already been implemented, is the Hemp University. The students of the above informational and educational platform of the profile association of Ukrainian hemp growers have already implemented projects in the field of primary and deep processing of hemp straw trusts, the creation of new product lines in the food and cosmetic fields, and also developed ultra-modern technologies for using the therapeutic properties of technical hemp used for industrial purposes.
