Efficient feeds offered by cannabis growers to the modern livestock market

heading_title

The use of national preparations made with the use of various hemp components already has a positive experience on the territory of our country. In particular, an experiment conducted by several representatives of the profile association of Ukrainian cannabis growers with the involvement of specialists in a small herd of piglets within the framework of the Hemp University confirmed the feasibility of using feed additives made using various hemp ingredients in an increase in dry weight of animals by 15-20% compared to the control herd. In addition to indicators showing a significant increase in weight, there is an improvement in the state of the immune system of animals in the test herd, as well as the normalization of the psychoemotional state of animals - one of the manifestations of which is, among other things, the absence of manifestations of "tail bite" in the herd. Based on the results obtained, the owners of the enterprise decided to multiply this experience and implement it on an industrial scale.

International pharmaceutical company “Creso Pharma Ltd”, trying to enter the livestock market, has developed an innovative product for pig fattening, made on the basis of hemp ingredients. In particular, the management of the aforementioned company, which specializes in the production of therapeutic hemp, announced the completion of the development of a new product for fattening pigs based on hemp flour and oat bran. This innovative food has been formulated to reduce stress and improve the well-being of both indoor and outdoor animals.

New pig foods have also been developed to address the problem of tail bite in herds of pigs, a common response of animals that are stressed, uncomfortable and bored.

According to Dr. Jan Trepp, Director of Commerce and Development for Creso Pharma Ltd, “We expect the launch of this type of product in the livestock industry will open up yet another lucrative business area for the company and contribute to our growing revenue streams. The initial focus in the promotion of the proposed livestock products will focus on the European and Latin American markets, where first sales are already expected in the second half of this year. ”

Commentary of the specialists of the Association "Ukrainian technical hemp"

The livestock market presents a special earning opportunity for companies specializing in modern cannabis farming. For example, according to forecasts by a number of experts, the market for pig feed alone could grow to $ 148 billion by 2027, based on a population of more than 150 million pigs in Europe and 67 million animals in Latin America.

Tail biting, which leads to injury, is a problem in the livestock market as it can significantly reduce the value of pigs at slaughter. The severity of the bite can range from small scars to physical damage that causes infection and leads to amputation or death of the animal. “Creso Pharma Ltd” is bringing to the market the feed created by the company, including trying to solve the problem of the uncomfortable psychological state of animals.
