Using cannabis as a non-lethal weapon

heading_title

The use of natural tetrahydrocannabinol as a charge of non-lethal weapons presupposes the most gentle neutralization of violators of law or public order in comparison with traditional synthetic substances, which may be an individual intolerance to the detainee, which leads to cases of unauthorized deaths that periodically arise during the use of special means filled with " suppressive ”synthetic drugs.

On the pages of the specialized electronic edition of national cannabis growers, the question of history, as well as modern methods of using various hemp components in the wars of both the ancient armies and the modern armed forces of China, Russia, Canada , as well as promising national developments in this area, has been raised more than once . A feature of all previously published materials on the use of hemp in "military affairs" is the defensive orientation of products made using various hemp components. That is why our dear readers and listeners, apparently, will be interested in information about how the properties laid down by nature in a plant can be used as a non-lethal weapon.

Historical aspect

In the 40s of the last century, the special department of the US Army actively experimented with a synthetic substance, the effect of which on the human body was comparable to that of tetrahydrocannabinol. Experiments have shown that in small quantities "Red Oil" acts on the human body like marijuana. However, high doses of this synthetic drug dramatically lowered blood pressure, which often resulted in dizziness and muscle weakness, so severe that individuals exposed to Red Oil were unable to move. In very high doses, this synthetic cannabinoid can lead to death as a result of a sharp drop in blood pressure in humans or animals exposed to it. Experiments were discontinued at the insistence of army specialists, including due to the fact that synthetic cannabinoids were not as powerful as other synthetic agents being developed at that time by army specialists.

Modern developments

Former US Air Force soldier Charles Anker patented Canna-Spray and Canna-Dart, which are intended to be used by police, correctional and special services, and the military as a non-lethal weapon. Principle of action, "Canna-Spray" and "Canna-Dart" are aimed at humanely incapacitating or immobilizing a person or animal by using a composition containing tetrahydrocannabinol, which renders the recipient incapacitated or immobilized for a short period of time, as well as a delivery system that doses the recipient with the above indicated composition.

Describing the patents of Mr. Anker, one can significantly simplify the description of the above patents and say that "Canna-Spray" is a gas grenade that releases a mist of sleep tetrahydrocannabinol, and "Canna-Dart" is a device like a dart that sticks into soft covers a person or an animal, incapacitates him.

According to Charles Anker, non-lethal weapons made on the basis of the peculiarities of this kind of use of tetrahydrocannabinol can be effectively used by employees of correctional labor institutions, police or special services in order to most sparingly and effectively influence violators of public order or representatives of the criminal world during their detention ... In the event that the military leadership is interested in patents, "Canna-Spray" and "Canna-Dart" can be used to manufacture various types of non-lethal weapons used to conduct "sparing military operations".

Commentary of the specialists of the Association "Ukrainian technical hemp"

The idea of using psychoactive substances in the arsenal of special means of representatives of various kinds of power structures is not new. A feature of the American projects described in the material is that at the moment there are no known facts of lethal cases from the use of natural tetrahydrocannabinol in the entire known history of mankind. Those. the use of natural THC as a charge of non-lethal weapons presupposes the most gentle neutralization of violators of law or public order in comparison with traditional synthetic substances, which may be an individual intolerance to the detainee, which leads to cases of unauthorized lethal outcomes that periodically arise during the use of special means filled with " suppressive ”synthetic drugs. Typical "suppressive" synthetic substances are aimed at slowing down the functioning of all body systems, including the vital parts of the brain and heart. Tetrahydrocannabinol does not. Extremely high doses of THC in the body make it impossible to walk and move, but leave the vital functions of the human body without negative impact, so even those who have experienced the maximum effect of Canna-Spray or Canna-Dart are not in danger of death or any some injury.
