Research on the impact of CBG on its consumers

Despite the fact that “ Cannabidiol dominates the global drug-free cannabinoid market, ” there has been a trend over the past few years to study and apply the medicinal / health-promoting properties of other therapeutically active elements of the hemp plant. It should be noted that despite the fact that cannabigerol (CBG) is the “father” of all other cannabinoids, its properties have hardly been studied. In addition, cannabigerol is the second most common drug-free cannabinoid on the market of economically developed countries, so it is not surprising that a number of research centers are not only actively studying this drug-free cannabinoid, but are already conducting various types of research aimed at understanding its impact on consumers. ...

In the course of the study, 127 Americans with various diseases were interviewed who regularly use cannabigerol to relieve symptoms of various diseases or to treat them. Over the past six months, all of the respondents have consumed various types of foods, which were dominated by the above-mentioned drug-free cannabinoid. Despite the fact that the proposed survey methodology is incomplete (there is no control group receiving a placebo, as in most scientific studies), the results obtained deserve not only attention, but also further study in terms of confirming the high efficacy of CBG for the treatment of a number of diseases. Specifically, for 74% of respondents, cannabigerol became a better treatment for chronic pain than traditional drugs currently on the market in the United States. In addition, the positive effects of this drug-free cannabinoid are characteristic of 80% of people suffering from depression, 73% of people unable to cope with insomnia, and 78% of users with various anxiety states. 

Identified deficiencies

It is impossible not to note some side effects that in mild forms manifested themselves in the course of regular use of cannabigerol by users - 17% of respondents noted the problem of dry mouth (15% of them note the problem of drowsiness); 12% of respondents note an increase in appetite (which can also be a positive effect in some diseases); 9% dry eyes.

According to the organizers of this kind of survey "This is the first study of patients using products with a predominance of CBG, and the only one that shows the effectiveness of products rich in this drug-free cannabinoid, especially for anxiety, chronic pain, depression or insomnia."
