Hemp as a fashion brand, an indicator of wealth and luxury
Hemp is transformed from a marginal crop, which until recently was ashamed to work with, into a brand actively used by the fashion industry not only in clothing / footwear, but also as food, cosmetics, dietary supplements / feed additives, etc. . Recently it has become fashionable to equip fashionable hotels, as well as mansions, using hemp furniture. Hemp plant is introduced into the consciousness of the world's leading designers as an environmentally friendly raw material, allowing you to get great aesthetics of furniture design or facilities in general without sacrificing quality, and investors and consumers are beginning to understand the countless benefits of growing and processing hemp, since it is an incredibly sustainable natural resource with the ability to uses to produce a variety of end products.
The world of modern hemp is changing rapidly. Just a few years ago, hemp-based products appeared in stores where only “itchy” sweaters and coarse T-shirts were present, often resembling a sack for potatoes much more than a piece of clothing. However, today health trends, an increase in cannabis-free drug-free cannabinoids, have brought the plant to the forefront of collective cultural awareness as an extremely effective crop. Everyone talks about hemp and its derivatives, potential in bioenergy, medicine, mechanical engineering, pulp and paper industry, etc. Instead of using the plant “for making souvenirs”, hemp raw materials have become a widespread commodity whose products are sold in large retail grocery and pharmacological networks.
The wide distribution of cannabis affected not only the appearance of products from mass retailers, but also the penetration of markets specializing in the sale of expensive goods / brands. This year, the luxury company Barneys New York has announced that it will be the first major networker to open a luxury hemp shop dedicated to improving the quality of health and living standards.
In addition to retailers, a number of luxury hemp brands have significantly increased sales to meet the growing demand for high-quality hemp products. One such company is Lord Jones, which manufactures a variety of products from hemp raw materials containing drug-free cannabinoids, in particular confectionery and beverages. One of the most fashionable hotels in Hollywood (California) "The Standard" currently offers its guests a range of hemp-based products. An unexpected surprise of the award in 2019 was the presence in the gift bags of the American Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences that presented the Oscars Award to chocolate truffles with the addition of hemp. Beautifully decorated grocery stores are opening on 5th Avenue in New York. Thus, cannabis and non-narcotic cannabinoids in its composition could penetrate into the world of luxury, entrenched in it seriously and for a long time.
One of the relatively new, actively developing and promising areas for the use of hemp is the manufacture of upholstery fabrics for furniture, individual components of eco-furniture itself, pillows, mattress covers, etc. Moon Cloth Designs developed hemp fabrication technology, which was highly appreciated by experts for its attractive and original look, the complexity of weaving hemp threads, strength, comparative softness and pleasant sensations when touched, durability, ability to resist external influences, and other positive marketing characteristics.
The above brand of products aims not only to increase the value of cannabis as a source for consumers of luxury goods, but also to stimulate a more fundamental shift in the minds of potential buyers towards the sustainability of the development of nature, that is, the use of environmentally friendly production and products safe for humanity. The company focuses on the thesis that "hemp is the source of one of the most environmentally friendly and durable fibers on the planet, so it’s not to take advantage of these properties."

Eco-furniture from cannabis has already found its place in the design solutions for the design of luxury hotels, club houses, garden furniture for the patio (open courtyards of the dwelling, surrounded by a green fence of trees and shrubs).
Commentary of the Association "Ukrainian technical hemp"
One of the reasons that prevent the production of high-quality textiles from hemp, is the lack of the necessary infrastructure. Despite the fact that hemp is an excellent raw material for the manufacture of fabrics, its processing is significantly different from the processing of cotton and requires special equipment. China has been using cannabis as the basis for the production of textiles and knitwear for many years, and the country has established production facilities to meet global demand. For the entire existence of our country, only in 2018, for the first time, serious investments were made in this area of business, which made it possible for the first time to launch a state-of-the-art cannabis primary processing plant on a mobile platform in Ukraine.

In this direction, Ukraine can claim to be one of the world leaders, as it has a number of registered varieties of technical hemp, characterized by high yields of stalks, fiber content and its quality, which serves as the basis for the manufacture of fabrics and individual components for the furniture industry. This issue is so relevant and promising for domestic business that within the framework of the "Hemp University" a specialized association of Ukrainian cannabis will be held in October-November a round table on the topic: "Cannabis raw materials: technologies of its use in construction, production of biocomposite materials and furniture."
