heading_title

The global hemp tea market is set to reach $ 245 million in 2028, up from $ 50 million in 2020 at a normal CAGR of 22.9%.

Global demand for hemp tea is likely to grow exponentially due to growing consumer awareness and consumer acceptance of health-oriented beverages. Hemp tea is a rich source of antioxidants that are very beneficial for many health conditions such as muscle aches, anxiety disorders, stress relief, and weight control. These factors attract many consumers using or planning to purchase new products from the leaves and flowers of the plant, including various types of hemp tea. In addition, it should be borne in mind that the governments of a number of economically developed countries have regulated the use of drug-free cannabinoids contained in the hemp plant in the production of various types of drinks, such as soda with cannabidiol, alcoholic beverages with drug-free cannabinoids, or tea made from hemp leaves and buds. It is the above factors that will stimulate the development of the hemp tea market in the global hemp market in the medium term.

At the same time, the hemp tea market is likely to face serious obstacles due to the rules set by the governments of individual countries regarding the use in any form of various elements of the plant with significant therapeutic potential.

Despite the above, a number of companies on the market are constantly updating their portfolio of hemp drinks (including tea) in order to meet the growing demand for new flavors, including those inherent in various varieties of hemp tea. This is why significant funds are invested in research and development aimed at developing a new range of hemp products. For example, the Canadian cannabinoid company Phivida has received Japanese approval to sell Nano Iced Tea in the Land of the Rising Sun.

The already existing segment of hemp tea sales channels can be divided into online stores, convenience stores and others. The online / direct-to-consumer sub-segment is expected to have the fastest growth in the market, generating $ 162 million in revenue in 2028. This growth trend is driven by an exponential increase in online shopping among consumers.

Growth in market volumes in the medium term will be observed in all regions of the world. The maximum possible dynamics is predicted in North America due to the fact that in Canada and in almost all administrative-territorial units of the United States, the necessary regulations have been adopted that regulate the possibilities for using the leaves and inflorescences of a plant with significant therapeutic potential as food. In particular, the size of the hemp tea market in North America will grow from $ 22.5 million in 2020 to $ 108 million in 2028.
