In recent years konoplevodstva industry demonstrates the rapid pace of development, each year increasing the acreage under crop in the average of 1.5 times.
 
This is due to many factors, the main of which - the government support of business entities for the production of industrial hemp (CMU decree of 28.08.2013 g .. number 735-p), the active information work to promote products konoplevodstva, an increase of European and world markets hemp raw materials corresponding to the effective area of ​​scientific support, organized by the National Academy of Agrarian Sciences of Ukraine (HAAH) as part of research programs number 20 "Bast culture" and others.
 
Experimental Station of Bast Crops ISGPS HAAH as the lead agency for scientific support konoplevodstva, within the framework of the project "University of Hemp" is traditionally twice a year, provides training of farmers, growers.
 
August 18, 2016 the scientific and practical seminar, organized by the Experimental Station of Bast Crops ISGPS NAAS and the Association "Ukrainian industrial hemp", collected from growers of Sumy, Chernihiv, Kharkiv, Kiev, Dnepropetrovsk, Vinnitsa, Kirovograd, Zhytomyr, Ivano-Frankivsk and Zaporizhzhya regions.

Participants were welcomed by Acting events Director of the Sumy Regional Administration APR O.P.Petrova, .v.o. Chairman of the State Service of Ukraine on Drug Control AP Dzisyak and Deputy Director of the Department of Agriculture and technical policy in the Ministry of Agrarian Policy L.V.Suhomlin AIC.
 
Director DSLK Marinchenko IA in his speech he stressed the need to coordinate joint efforts to develop the sector and representation konoplevodstva Ukrainian hemp production in the European market. President of the Association "Ukrainian industrial hemp" O.L.Ignatyuk focused attention to the economic attractiveness of the industry konoplevodstva and legislative framework industrial hemp cultivation.

Head of the Department of breeding and seed cannabis, Doctor of Agricultural Sciences I.M.Layko presented present new varieties of industrial hemp, directions of use and technological features of cultivation.
 
Head of the department of engineering and technical studies, Ph.D. S.P.Koropchenko focused participants on the technological features of industrial hemp collection, preparation of equipment for harvesting and primary processing of raw materials issues.
 
During the practical part of the workshop participants got acquainted with the varieties of industrial hemp in the breeding variety testing, long-term cultivation of cannabis in a monoculture, cooking techniques trusts, technical means of collection and cleaning equipment features settings. One of the members of the Association "Ukrainian industrial hemp" was well presented food trend of using hemp seed and prospects of this business line.
