PepsiCo launches energy drinks based on hemp seed extracts
One of the significant negative
characteristics of caffeine is the fact that it negatively affects the activity
of the cardiovascular system. That is why Ukraine has developed and patented
the composition of an energy drink based on the capabilities of hemp grain
extract, similar in its properties to those brought to the market by PepsiCo,
Inc. However, unlike the Rockstar Unplugged line, caffeine is not included in
the composition of the national finished product, which does not prevent the
Ukrainian energy sector from having the same characteristics as the products
introduced to the US market by PepsiCo, Inc.
The global market for hemp drinks is
developing quite dynamically. Despite a number of publications that several
large hemp companies at once “closed” projects related to the development of
various kinds of drinks for financial reasons or problems associated with the
coronavirus pandemic, the information that one of the largest transnational
corporations is actively working is especially valuable. in this direction and
not only develops new recipes for hemp drinks, but also introduces a line of
energy drinks to the American market, the recipes of which are based on the
properties of hemp grain extract.
Multinational corporation specializing in
the production of beverages “PepsiCo, Inc.” introduces a new line of energy
drinks based on hemp grain extract to the US market. The company says that its
“Rockstar Unplugged” brand drinks are less about energy and more about
“uplifting the mood” with ingredients such as hemp seed extract, peppermint,
lemon balm and caffeine, with added vitamins B1, B6, B12.
“Ninety-one percent of our consumers say
they want a drink that lifts their spirits. Therefore, a combination of herbs
has been created that can help our customers relax, but not fall asleep,” says
Fabiola Torres, general manager of PepsiCo and director of marketing for the
corporation's energy drinks division.
Representatives of the company say that they are bringing three Rockstar Unplugged flavors to the American market at once, the composition of which, in addition to hemp seed extract, includes: blueberry, passion fruit and raspberry, cucumber. They claim that "Rockstar Energy Drink" is designed to give the consumer the right dose of caffeine. Technologists have created a new energy drink formula and put its properties into a hemp line of energy drinks being launched on the US market. Infused with hemp seed extracts as well as B vitamins, this next-generation beverage line is designed to be more fun than pure energy. The new elements introduced into the base recipe, combined with a surge of energy, help maintain a light, free, relaxed and peaceful mood at any time of the day. The new energy drinks , formulated with hemp seed extract, are sugar-free and contain 80 milligrams of caffeine compared to 160 milligrams in most other Rockstar products.

Rockstar Energy Drink, founded in 2001,
produces youth drinks, including energy drinks. More than twenty Rockstar
Energy products are combined into five specialized lines of various kinds of
drinks, which are currently sold in more than 30 countries around the world.
This isn't Rockstar's first attempt to introduce hemp ingredients into the company's
drinks. In April 2021, the brand launched “Rockstar Energy + Hemp”
cannabis-infused energy drinks in Germany and was pleased with the results.
