Herbal CBD as an aphrodisiac
The positive effect of natural CBD on
human libido is due to its interaction with the endocannabinoid system of the
body. It indirectly increases libido by acting on other factors that can
negatively affect sex drive/desire, such as stress, lack of sleep, nervousness
about upcoming events, pain, and more.
How Cannabidiol Affects Libido
The truth is that no single cannabinoid improves sexual
desire directly. At least in the sense that they don't work like other
aphrodisiacs or sexual stimulants. Instead, plant cannabidiol (CBD) works more
gently and for a longer period of time.
Traditional aphrodisiacs usually support the health of the
human body, which to some extent increases libido. There are extremely few
aphrodisiacs that are direct sexual stimulants. Most of them are adaptogens or
health-promoting herbs. When a person's body is healthier, his instincts work
more efficiently, i.e. sexual arousal "comes" faster and
"works" more efficiently. It's not that CBD directly increases
libido, but this natural non-narcotic cannabinoid relaxes the body and
regulates homeostasis (balance). This ultimately leads to higher levels of sex
drive and/or better sex.

increases libido by acting on other factors that can negatively affect sex
drive/desire, such as stress, lack of sleep, nervousness about upcoming events,
pain, and more. It is well known that people enjoy sex more when they are relaxed,
free from stress and pain. It may seem obvious, but the reality is that many
people don't follow the above basics, and understanding the connection between
mental or physical stress and decreased sex drive can be difficult. When the
human body is stressed, sick or out of balance, the brain cannot focus on
reproductive function. The result of this are symptoms that are collectively
referred to as "low libido". At the moment, there is no comprehensive
study confirming that plant cannabidiol is effective in improving libido, and
most of the evidence that CBD improves sex life is based on individual reports
and publications from ongoing experiments / surveys in various parts of the
world.
erectile dysfunction
In an article published in the journal BioMed Research
International, the authors state that they have been practicing hemp plant
therapy for years to alleviate erectile dysfunction and increase “performance”
in bed. The exact mechanism by which plant cannabidiol may help with erectile
dysfunction (ED) is not fully understood. One theory is that natural
cannabidiol helps relax blood vessels and improve blood flow. Improving blood
flow to the penis and organs of the female reproductive system eases ED and
promotes better and longer sex.
Bad lubrication
Researchers have studied the effects of topical use of
natural cannabidiol as a dermatological treatment. According to a 2010 article
in the journal Fitoterapia, plant cannabiol used topically has a relaxing,
anti-inflammatory effect that improves blood flow in a woman's pelvic organs
and can make sex more comfortable.
