In particular, Prime Minister Prayut Chan-Ocha, re-elected in March 2019, officially announced the development of modern hemp breeding, in particular business areas related to the possibility of using hemp for medical purposes, as one of the key business development priorities in the camp.
Statements by officials at various levels for the media regularly emphasize that “The most favorable conditions should be created for the study of cannabisa and the development of hemp breeding in the country in order to create economic opportunities for the legal earning of additional financial resources for Thai citizens.”
