The latest invention of the bakery of the town of Grebenhain-Kreinfelde (Germany) - Hippocrates hemp bread. Bread made not from wheat but from hemp is the pride of the director of the enterprise, Heiko Müller, who, after suffering from multiple sclerosis, focused on proper nutrition, not on pharmacological preparations. Having been diagnosed with a disease of the autoimmune system in January 2016, over the next several months, Mr. Muller struggled with a number of other serious diseases - thrombosis, multiple pulmonary emboli, and survived heart surgery. However, the German baker did not give up and made proper nutrition the basis of his recovery. About two years ago, Heiko made a hemp bread recipe for himself. Today, hemp bread in his bakery is available in the form of baguettes and rolls, and the above bakery products have become indispensable in the assortment of the Müller bakery.

As the treating doctor Müller recalls, as an effective remedy for a progressive disease, it was suggested to refrain from gluten, since a gluten-free diet reduces inflammation caused by multiple sclerosis. That is why Mr. Müller decided to create bakery products without flour, yeast, gluten and any food additives. 

The baking results were initially unsatisfactory, ”says Heiko Muller. The idea of ​​the ingredients and the recipe itself occurred to one of the employees of the bakery. The product was not only tasty, but also commercially successful. 

The bread was tested both on Mr. Müller himself and on the staff of his bakery. “I ate hemp bread for several weeks and listened carefully to my own body. I tried to feel that there are no side effects from its use, ”says Heiko Muller. Only after it became clear that even my unhealthy body this product does not bring negative results, hemp bakery products began to be baked en masse in my bakery and sold to residents of the town. 

“Hippocrates” bread was named after the dictum of the famous ancient Greek healer Hippocrates, who advised his patients back in 460 BC. AD "Let food be your medicine." According to Mr. Muller, after he completely removed gluten in his diet and uses exclusively hemp bread, he no longer takes any pharmacological drugs to treat the autoimmune disease he has detected. Of course, in addition to the hemp diet, Mr. Muller regularly exercises and tries to lead a healthy lifestyle, but the fact is that over the past two years, no relapse has been noticed, and 50-year-old Heiko Muller feels absolutely healthy person.
