In this regard, several hemp, biotechnology and pharmaceutical companies in the United States are actively engaged in the development and experimental experimental testing of appropriate hygiene products and dental products, trying to deliver them to pharmacies and health food stores as quickly as possible.
Oral diseases are the most common non-communicable diseases worldwide. According to statistics from the World Health Organization (WHO), severe periodontal diseases take 11th place in the world in frequency of manifestation, and tooth loss (adentulism) is one of the 10 main causes of disability in countries with a high standard of living. For this reason, scientific institutions and practicing dentists pay much attention to the development of new methods and methods of treatment, as well as the use of effective medicines. Recently, the use of cannabidiol (CBD) obtained from plant materials in oral hygiene and dentistry has become increasingly popular.
Recently, cannabidiol has rapidly stormed the health, sports, beauty and nutrition industry of the United States of America. In a recent survey in the country of 1,500 consumers (75%) of 2,000 respondents said they had used CBD products for the past 3 months. Due to scientifically established facts, according to which cannabidiol of natural origin has a pronounced anti-inflammatory and antibacterial effect, it makes sense on this basis to develop a line of oral hygiene products. In the end, folk recipes for rinsing teeth with decoctions and tinctures from hemp were known for a long time and were systematically used by people in antiquity.
Several hemp, biotech, and pharmaceutical companies in the United States are actively developing and experimentally testing appropriate hygiene products and dental products in an effort to deliver them as quickly as possible to pharmacies and health food stores. It is assumed that the goods will be universal in use and accessible to ordinary consumers.
Particular attention is paid to clinical trials for the treatment of periodontitis (inflammation of the supporting apparatus of the teeth). A lot of effort is made for the optimal selection of ingredients, including the ratio of specific cannabinoid and aromatic compounds, forms of release of hygiene products and medicines, which are quite diverse - toothpastes, rinses, chewing gums, capsules, drops, and more. A wide range of products is focused on the distinctive tastes of consumers. Establishment of trends in the sales volumes of a particular product will make it possible to single out and subsequently produce the most demanded forms of “dental products”.
A separate area - the development of dentistry medications based on the therapeutic properties of hemp, has already proven its effectiveness. For example, the use of plant-based cannabidiol preparations helps to reduce anxiety before and after the dental procedure in order to reduce pain, after the completion of the anesthesia. To alleviate the consequences of dental surgery, you can use a sterile pad impregnated with CBD to hold the wound area after tooth extraction in sterility and analgesic action. The same applies when sensitive gums hurt and need to be restored after periodic surgery. In any case, these drugs must be prescribed by a doctor, weighing the possibility of side effects.

This therapeutic substance of hemp is not only able to eliminate the bacteria that cause the infection, but also significantly reduce gum swelling and pain. Achievements of research and development in the field of oral hygiene and sanitation associated with the use of natural CBD will only intensify the already active wave of changes regarding the possibility of using the therapeutic properties of hemp in the USA.
The therapeutic cannabis varieties created in Ukraine can become a source of non-narcotic cannabinoids in the manufacture of hygiene products and dentistry drugs, in addition, they are characterized by the absence of psychotropic tetrahydrocannabinol, which makes them extremely safe for human health.
