The Prague (Czech Republic) hosted the grand opening of the International Institute of cannabis and cannabinoids (ICCI - International Cannabis and Cannabinoids Institute). The opening of the country's first educational institution of this type has been made possible thanks to investors from the US and Canada, which, according to the Minister of Health, have invested in the creation of the institute half crowns.

"This is the largest private investment in health care in recent years" - said the Minister Svyatopulk Nemecek.

Work in the Czech capital in the new institute will Lumir Hanus from the Hebrew University in Jerusalem. The professor will make every effort to prove the benefits of cannabis for medical purposes.

"The institute should identify standards for the production and use of cannabis for medicinal purposes. Our task - to examine all the characteristics of this plant, that for each client we can make an individual treatment plan. Much attention we will pay, and those patients who are in our country for a long time illegally using cannabis for medical purposes, "- said the director of the institute Pavel Cuba.

"It is the lack of awareness of citizens and the lack of scientific explanations are the reasons that cannabis in the Czech Republic is not only expensive, but also does not have much popularity among patients," - said Cuba.
