Opportunities to use the therapeutic properties of cannabis for the prevention and treatment of COVID-19
The use of therapeutic hemp leaves and inflorescences in the diet is an effective means of preventing coronavirus infection. The use of therapeutically active elements of the plant during the treatment of COVID-19 makes it possible to combat this ailment extremely quickly and effectively in natural ways, not necessarily with pharmacological preparations made on the basis of the medicinal / healing properties of certain varieties of industrial hemp.
Considering the global problems associated with the spread of the problem of coronavirus infection, as well as the potential “ Possibilities of using cannabinoids in the prevention and treatment of diseases provoked by COVID-19 ”, the issue of the developments of Ukrainian specialists in this matter was raised several times on the pages of the specialized electronic edition of national cannabis growers. The issues of elementary prevention of COVID-19 disease by natural methods, which have been available in Ukraine for several years, were highlighted in the material “ Cannabinoids and Coronavirus ”, as well as “ Coronavirus and Reusable Masks from Hemp Cloth in Italy”, However, an understanding of the fundamental processes about how exactly drug-free cannabinoids (primarily plant-based cannabidiol) solve the problems of patients suffering from coronavirus infection is already described by the international medical community in specialized publications. How CBD Fights Hypercytokinemia
Only in 2021, experts working on the problem of the effects of the cytokine storm officially announced that plant-based cannabidiol (CBD / CBD) reduces respiratory problems in humans resulting from coronavirus infection, and in addition increases the absorption of oxygen by mammals. Scientists figured out the fundamental processes occurring in the human body during the course of the COVID-19 disease, as well as orientated themselves with the possibilities of using the medicinal properties of the hemp plant for the prevention or treatment of coronavirus.
North American specialists from several specialized colleges in the United States specializing in the study of coronavirus infection clearly demonstrate that plant CBD not only reduces inflammation in experimental animals during their treatment for COVID-19, increases oxygen absorption by the mammalian body, but also localizes the negative consequences of the disease by restoring damaged tissues of the respiratory system. The study of this issue suggests that reducing the effects of a cytokine storm is possible, among other things, by increasing the amount of endogenous ligand “Apelin” (apelin - the therapeutic effect is expressed in the course of exposure to damaged tissue, reduction of blood pressure or localization of inflammation).
It was found that the amount of "Apelina" in connection with the excessive viral load on the body provoked by the coronavirus infection is dramatically reduced. In turn, the use of herbal CBD in the course of treatment normalizes the indicators of the above endogenous ligand in the body, while restoring the normal functioning of the respiratory system. In particular, in the course of the conducted experiments, it was found that the amount of "Apelina" decreased to almost zero in experimental animals during the period of their illness with coronavirus infection. During CBD therapy, the endogenous ligand parameters increased tenfold, returning its amount to almost the normal level of a healthy mammal.

In cases where inflammatory processes are observed in the human body, the content of "Apelin" in the problem organ rises, which, among other things, leads to an improvement in blood supply. In patients suffering from COVID-19, as a result of a catastrophic decrease in the above-indicated endogenous ligand, the amount of blood flowing to the problem area of the human body is significantly reduced, which predetermines the death of cells due to insufficient supply of the necessary substances for their normal life. The use of natural cannabinoids, for example, contained in the leaves and inflorescences of therapeutic hemp, will quickly and extremely effectively restore the amount of "Apelin", returning them to a certain level by nature. In connection with this kind of exclusive features of the hemp plant, in patients suffering from coronavirus infection, the work of the respiratory organs is normalized, the eyes of the inflammatory process are significantly reduced and the halo of damage to the lung tissue is minimized.
At the moment, the use of the therapeutic properties of the hemp plant as a means for effective prevention or treatment of coronavirus infection has not been proven by the international medical community. At the same time, we can say that the use of therapeutic hemp leaves and inflorescences in the diet significantly affects the prevention of COVID-19 disease in buyers - i.e. prevention of coronavirus infection, and the use of therapeutically active elements of the plant during the treatment of coronavirus makes it possible to combat this ailment extremely quickly and effectively in natural ways, not necessarily with pharmacological preparations made on the basis of the medicinal / healing properties of certain varieties of industrial hemp.
