Armenia regulates the cultivation of technical hemp
After the lost war, during the period of the coronavirus pandemic raging in Armenia, government officials are considering the possibilities of regulating the cultivation and processing of technical hemp, as they see the possibility of reviving the country's economy, including through the hemp plant.
Armenian government officials plan to regulate the cultivation of industrial crops of industrial hemp within the framework of the recently announced Economic Response program. In particular, during a government meeting on February 4, Deputy Prime Minister Tigran Avinyan focused the attention of those present on the fact that “This will significantly intensify the use of agricultural land. About 40% of agricultural land in Armenia is idle. We will support this and other plans to grow high-yielding and valuable crops. " The decision to regulate the cultivation of industrial crops of industrial hemp is part of the government's "economic response" program aimed at giving a boost to the country's economy after the double economic shock - the COVID 19 pandemic and the consequences of the lost war. According to Mr. Avinyan, employees of the relevant government agencies have developed a preliminary economic plan and the necessary regulatory documents that need to be adopted to "launch" the industry.
Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan stressed that the program does not provide for the cultivation of cannabis for individual use by consumers. According to him, there are still "risks" that need to be considered during the implementation of this initiative, but the existing mechanisms for managing problem situations associated with modern cannabis farming have been tested in other countries.
Minister of Economy of the country Vahan Kerobyan focused on the fact that law enforcement agencies are ready to control the process of industrial production of technical hemp in order to ensure that the Armenian legislation on drugs is not violated during such activities.

I would like to draw the attention of our dear readers and listeners precisely to the fact that after the lost war, during the coronavirus pandemic raging in Armenia, government officials are considering the possibilities of regulating the cultivation and processing of technical hemp, as they see the possibility of reviving the country's economy, including through hemp plant.
