Hemp oil is effective in improving the clinical and immunological parameters in patients with multiple sclerosis

heading_title

Hemp seed oil has powerful antioxidant properties, and also affects certain signaling pathways regulating inflammatory reactions - two characteristics that make it useful in the treatment of multiple sclerosis.

Eating hemp oil combined with evening primrose oil and a special diet rich in spices (such as pepper), and low in saturated fat and sugar, is associated with a "significant improvement" in the treatment of symptoms and immunological parameters in patients with multiple sclerosis (MS ) - clinical trial data, published in the journal BioImpacts.

Researchers at the University of Medical Sciences, Tabriz (Iran) evaluated the effect of hemp oil, evening primrose oil, and restricted diet in 23 patients diagnosed with relapsing multiple sclerosis. They said that on completion of the study participants were "healthier compared to the base line" and that "the clinical and immunological parameters showed improvement in patients after treatment."

The authors acknowledged that the hemp seed oil has powerful antioxidant properties, and is also likely to affect certain signaling pathways that regulate inflammatory responses - two characteristics that supposedly make it useful in the treatment of multiple sclerosis.

The authors argue that: "After six months showed significant improvement in terms of the extended test of disability .... Our data demonstrate that the combined use of the hemp seed oil and evening primrose with spicy food may reduce the risk of developing multiple sclerosis. "

Previously published data from clinical trials have studied the effects of smoke hemp and organic extracts of cannabinoids in MS patients showed that the plant cannabinoids can relieve the symptoms of the disease - such as involuntary spasticity, neuropathy, and bladder dysfunction, and some patients may even slow down the progression of the disease .
