Cannabinoid use increases male fertility.

During the roundtable "cannabinoid therapy", held in conjunction with the National University of Life and Environmental Sciences of Ukraine, the project "Hemp University" focused on several speeches on the fact that technical hemp therapeutic orientation contributes to a significant increase in the production of testosterone by the body, which in turn is actively used to treat male fertility. 

A study by scientists at the Harvard University School of Public Health at the Massachusetts Public Reproductive Medicine Clinic showed that there is no significant difference in the quality of sperm between men who previously used products rich in cannabinoids and the stronger sex constantly using products made using therapeutic hemp leaves and inflorescences.

A group of scientists headed by Deputy Professor of Epidemiology Jorge Cavarro, who previously published the article "Human Reproduction"  in the journal of the European Society for Reproduction and Human Embryology, sperm and blood samples of 662 men with an average age of 36 years were analyzed. 365 (55%) subjects used cannabinoids in the past, another 292 (44%) people regularly used cannabis as food or various cosmetics made from hemp leaves and inflorescences, which have a therapeutic effect.

Analysis of selected samples of biological material showed that those who previously used cannabinoids or use them at the moment, an average of 62.7 million spermatozoa per milliliter of sperm. At the same time, those who have never used products or cosmetic products made on the basis of cannabisa leaves and inflorescences, averaged 45.4 million sperm cells per milliliter. Of all the subjects using cannabinoid products, only 5% had a concentration below 15 million per milliliter (according to the World Health Organization, the lower limit of the norm), compared with 12% of males who do not use cannabinoid-rich products in life.

Among other things, a study showed that men who have used cannabinoid products or use it regularly have a higher testosterone level than those who have never tried it.

Pa the opinion of American scientists, the use of cannabinoid products contributes to the development of sperm due to the fact that it has a positive effect on the endocannabinoid system, which takes an active part in male fertility.
