Changes related to cannabis at the legislative level in Bulgaria
During the meeting, the agricultural committee in the Parliament during discussion on the proposal of the Bulgarian Academy of konoplevodstva need to revive the country's science, the deputies unanimously supported the need for the processing of hemp in industrial and medical purposes.
Representatives of non-governmental organizations in Bulgaria explained at the meeting that from the technical hemp products are sold not only in the neighboring countries of Eastern Europe, but are also actively developing sector of the economy in all economically developed countries of the world. Therapeutic components of plants used for the manufacture of drugs used for the treatment of cancer, as effective immunostimulants, as well as for the treatment of childhood epilepsy.
Representatives of the construction industry, who participated in the discussion said that they are ready to build a plant for the production of hemp bricks when the processing of industrial hemp cultivation technology will be allowed in the country. Currently, the law permits the cultivation of hemp malonarkoticheskoy, but it requires a special permit from the Ministry of Agriculture. The problem is that after that hemp can be used only in seed trade, or as fodder in zoobusiness.
Experts of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of Bulgaria explained that in line with European directives, technical hemp can be used as a building material. However, the country's current legislation prohibits the extraction of any ingredients for the production of drugs or pharmaceuticals. The problem lies in the fact that there is no state structure, which would be supervised, for the inability to extract THC from inflorescences psychoactive hemp.
During the meeting, Deputy Minister of Agriculture of Bulgaria said that giving their children hemp oil to improve their immunity, and therefore his children do not get sick. He explained that the Bulgarian industrial hemp cultivation was banned in the 60's of last century, including the pressure of the international community. However, times have a negative attitude to the plant have changed and now, at all levels in the economically developed countries of Europe, Asia, North and South America recognizes that cannabis is an extremely useful plant from the root up to the very top.
