Hemp leather

heading_title

It involves the processing of micronized biomass, which is processed in a special way in order to create a single material. The new generation polymers used to make “hemp skin” are partially biodegradable. According to the authors, “Napee” preserves the properties of the raw hemp that underlies its production, transforming the created “hemp skin” into a product with thermoregulatory and antibacterial properties.

“Napee hemp leather” is eco-leather made from plant-grown waste and whose entire production process does not involve the use of toxic solvents or the creation of non-recyclable waste. “Napee” is an innovative textile product created by Italian technologists Alessandro Fabbri and Giuseppe Guido, who have all the benefits of ordinary animal skin, while maintaining the breathability of ordinary hemp fabrics.

The technology was created on the territory of northern Italy, taking into account the use of the foundations of a circular economy. It involves the processing of micronized biomass, which is processed in a special way in order to create a single material. The new generation polymers used to make “hemp skin” are partially biodegradable. According to the authors, “Napee” retains the properties of the raw hemp that underlies its production, transforming the created “hemp skin” into a product with thermoregulatory and antibacterial properties.

Napee is manufactured using a technologically innovative coating system based on two-component polyurethane resins, formulated according to several formulations, specially developed for the new production process, completely solvent free and able to reduce energy consumption by up to 70%.

At the moment, several areas of modern business have become interested in the invention of Italian technologists. In particular, "APM automotive France" - focuses on the use of hemp raw materials in the interior of the car, as well as the designer Furio Piermarioli, who plans to use "hemp leather" for the manufacture of various accessories or clothing items. Negotiations are underway on the use of "hemp leather" for the manufacture of furniture, footwear and other products in which artificial or natural leather is traditionally used.

Commentary of the specialists of the Association "Ukrainian technical hemp"

Despite the fact that polymer materials are used in the process of making “hemp leather”, Italian experts claim that the product created by them based on hemp raw materials has thermoregulating and antibacterial properties. At the moment, the highest aerobatics in the market of textile and knitted materials is considered to be the use of therapeutically active properties inherent in the fiber by nature, first of all, varieties of technical hemp with a therapeutic orientation. One of the newest technologies is the impregnation of hemp tissues with therapeutically active elements. During the round table " Problems and application prospects of the therapeutically active components of cannabis as a basis for the nutraceutical, personal care products, animal feed or other products that have medicinal properties of plants ," which is prepared for the students of the 6th stream "hemp University" will be presented at once two presentations demonstrating developments in this sector of modern hemp growing by national companies that specialize in the production of hemp fabrics or knitwear.
