Lamborghini and Canadian medical cannabis maker bring coffee drinks to market
Large financial corporations are ready to invest significant financial resources in nutraceuticals (food products with significant therapeutic properties), which contain therapeutically active elements of the hemp plant.
Toronto-based medical cannabis company Flora Growth Corp has signed a licensing agreement with the Tonino Lamborghini Group interested in selling food and beverage products that include CBD in North America and Colombia.
Both companies will start with coffee drinks made in Florida and launch products for sale throughout the US in the first quarter of 2022, "wherever hemp-based products are legal."
“The medical cannabis market represents a very interesting niche and we intend to offer a luxurious plant experience,” Tonino Lamborghini Group CEO Ferruccio Lamborghini, grandson of the founder of the Lamborghini dynasty, said in a statement. A company spokesman drew attention to the fact that Lamborghini has been in the coffee sector for over 30 years with its premium espresso line.
