Cannabis leaves have pronounced antibacterial properties

heading_title

Biologically active and feed additives created in Ukraine, as well as cosmetics, demonstrate extreme effectiveness in the treatment of serious diseases including chronic ones (including oncological ones). To our great regret, at the moment, national developments in this area are being implemented outside the borders of our country due to the fact that these issues have not been settled at the legislative level.

Studies show that hemp leaves have an antimicrobial effect, including effective for the treatment of drug-resistant forms of Staphylococcus aureus.

Scientists at the Saaii college of medical science and technology (SCMAT), together with colleagues from the University of Gour Banga from India, have demonstrated the effectiveness of cannabis infusions to suppress the vital functions of modern antibiotic-resistant Staphylococcus aureus bacteria (Staphylococcus aureus , MRSA).

The study of the properties of hemp leaves was carried out on previously obtained data that the leaves of the plant have a negative effect on the vital activity of certain types of bacteria. The significance of the new study is due to a demonstration of the suppression of growth and vital activity of MRSA, the main hospital pathogen.

During the experiments, Indian scientists found that extracts from hemp leaves in combination with extracts of the evergreen coniferous tree Thuja orientalis give a much greater therapeutic effect, i.e. the antimicrobial abilities of both plants in synergy have much greater therapeutic capabilities. Indian researchers have found a similar synergy in the combination of hemp leaves with portions of Lemon guava (Psidium guajava).

Naturally conducted studies have led to the conclusion that cannabis leaves alone, either in combination with Thuja orientalis extracts or parts of Psidium guajava, provide the ability to create at least several therapeutic agents that can be used to treat infections associated with negative effects on the body of MRSA.

The findings of Indian scientists suggest that the properties of hemp leaves in the fight against microbes can relate to five separate cannabinoids, as well as some non-cannabinoid components of the plant, such as terpenoids, flavonoids (quercetin, catechin) and tannins (gallic acid).

At the initial stage, the findings of scientists are based solely on laboratory research, and so far the effects demonstrated by the laboratory have not been tested in humans.

Commentary of the Ukrainian Technical Hemp Association

Staphylococcus aureus infections (MRSA) that are resistant to modern antibiotics are provoked by the type of staphylococcal bacteria that has become resistant to the antibiotics used to treat common infections. Staphylococcus aureus bacteria previously showed resistance to methicillin, penicillin, oxacillin, cefoxitin, as well as some other antibiotics.

The experiments of Indian scientists have clearly confirmed several key points of using the therapeutic properties of hemp raw materials:

- the effectiveness of using the "ensemble effect";

- the unnecessary extraction of individual elements of hemp leaves and inflorescences and the ability to use the therapeutic properties of the plant in any form acceptable to humans - food, biologically active / feed additives, cosmetic preparations, etc .;

- the effectiveness of using to obtain the synergistic effect of other natural substances.

It should be noted the successes of Ukrainian specialists who have learned to repeatedly enhance the therapeutic properties of therapeutic therapeutic cannabis leaves and inflorescences with the help of organomineral complexes based on humic acids. In particular, biologically active and fodder supplements created in Ukraine, as well as cosmetics, demonstrate extreme effectiveness in the treatment of serious diseases including chronic ones (including oncological ones). To our great regret, at the moment, national developments in this area are being implemented outside the borders of our country due to the fact that these issues have not been settled at the legislative level.
