Deputy Prime Minister of Kazakhstan Dariga Nazarbayeva held a meeting, during which the issues of scientific research on the chemical cleaning of the hemp drugs for use in industrial and medical purposes.

During the meeting it heard information about the launch of a pilot project of the Roadmap for the cultivation of industrial hemp.
 
As part of the project the first time in the history of Kazakhstan on farmland planted with hemp seeds in South Kazakhstan, Almaty, Karaganda and North Kazakhstan regions. Experimental harvest would send to the USA, Germany, China and Belgium to develop the technology for the processing of hemp.
 
According to the results of studies that have been conducted previously, can be obtained from the hemp pulp for the entire spectrum of paper products - from the banknote up to the packaging and office paper, as well as the use of cannabis as an effective raw materials in the textile and food industries.
 
Dariga Nazarbayeva noted the decrease in the cost of raw materials in the manufacture of paper from the technical hemp.
